Our Charges/Order Form

Charges are £35 per hour for ordering plus VAT and £45 per hour for Chronology work, plus VAT. All packaging is included. DX return is £6.41 + vat per bundle or box  (not incl. tracker, or Special Delivery DX). Postage charges are additional  (see Collection & Delivery). We also charge £20 + VAT for secretarial outsourcing work (for Indices and Chronologies)-our experience shows that this saves about 1/3 preparation time. However, we can send out dictation to you for typing in-house, subject to a maximum 48 hour turnaround time.
 
G.P. records are generally quick to order, (unless the Lloyd George pages are all mixed up and 4 cards to a page as well as double-sided!). Hospital bundles take a variable time to order, depending on how complex/lengthy the care has been. It is very difficult to be precise about number of hours, but we will be as efficient as possible and we are happy to provide estimates on request. Please tell us the depth measurement of your records and send a draft statement of case, or synopsis of the issues.
 
We will ensure that your bundle is returned to you with all copies on A4 single sided sheets. Time spent in duplicating records (for example, double-sided pages to single sided, and GP Lloyd George cards disclosed 4 sheets to a page) is charged at the usually hourly rate. Also, we convert A5 sheets to A4. Therefore, you may prefer to do that work in house before sending the bundle out.

We  provide a Pdf of the paginated bundle at NO EXTRA CHARGE. You can duplicate folders for your experts by the click of a button and save a great deal of time spent by support staff in-house. It is worth asking your medical expert whether they would prefer to work from a Pdf alone. If your client is communicating by e-mail you can send a copy of the bundle to them as a Pdf. In our view it is reasonable to make a charge to the Defendant to supply a copy of the Pdf to them.

How to recover our charges
1. You can treat our charges as a recoverable disbursement OR
2. As your own agency time. We provide a detailed file note for the work done. You can include our time as part of your profit costs at the end of the case. You can charge it out at your normal hourly rates for a para-legal (for the sorting work) and a higher grade (for the checking time and chronology work). In this way, sending your bundles to Order Order! will increase our profitability, as well as your efficiency..
